ROA | DUM ANIMA EST SPES EST

Keteleer Gallery is very pleased to present DUM ANIMA EST SPES EST, a new solo exhibition by ROA (Ghent, Belgium). ROA's fifth solo exhibition at the gallery will consist of an entirely new series of works.

Street artist ROA is a muralist from Ghent, Belgium, whose work has been widely photographed and recorded, yet little is known about the artist himself, and even less has been formally documented. ROA is best known for his deep fascination with animals. His striking murals have gained attention across the street art community for reintroducing birds, rodents, and other local wildlife into urban spaces—creatures that once inhabited these areas but are now often overlooked. ROA consistently chooses animals that are native to the region where he paints, grounding his work in the local ecology.

Some major cities, where his work can be found include London, New York, Berlin, Warsaw, Madrid, Moscow, Los Angeles, Mexico City and Paris.
